Reading Responce

In the text that I read ‘Practices Of Looking’ (Sturken, Marita, and Lisa Cartwright. “Images, Power and Politics”. Practices Of Looking : An Introduction To Visual Culture) one thing that really stood out to me ways that the photographer, Weegee took photos of crime scenes and then developed them in the back of his car. It showed an image of some children looking at a murder and all the expressions on their faces. The text also talked about another photograph that Weegee took, of Emmett Till who was tortured and then murdered. Weegee had power with his photos because they had the ability to make us express feelings of shock and sadness.
